Information for the curious minds

Disclaimer: What's written in this post is of me trying to make sense of this silly jello-popping game with characters that have close to no backstory profile other than very vague in-game references as well as secrets. Some information may differ between persons looking at the series.

Starting off with the more concrete info:
His Birthday is June 16, and his Blood Type is B.
His magic is a theme of the color Blue, and how he performs his magic is through martial art-ish movements. He uses his human arm for all the spells other than the final spell, "Hydrangea," which he also uses his red arm as well.
He likes bugs and if he has free time he would either be catching bugs or preparing to catch bugs (aka make insect-luring honey to dab on trees).
If it's not about insects, he rarely picks up interest in anything.
His speech pattern is extremely simple and short in Japanese, not to mention monotone and rather slow when you hear them speak on the Wii version of the game. I translate this into short fragments and simple words.
Very passive as heck. If insects aren't involved, he would not bother trying to defend himself. If insects do get involved in a negative form, such as trying to eat them, will get him very aggressive and would challenge you into a fight.

Now for vague information that were implied/mentioned in the games.
Fever 2, the game Sig makes his first appearance in, has some misc background for some hints behind the red demon, aka "Strange Klug" and Sig, not to mention both of the two's strongest spell is Hydrangea. A background fairy tale story talk about a group of people "playing a prank" on a bookworm demon who was strong enough to wipe out an entire army by leaving a magical book that would seal a soul into it. This demon, nameless as he was, falls for the trick. For unknown reasons, the demon wasn't entirely sealed, and the physical remains, along with a portion of the demon's powers, stay outside of the book. This remains of the demon, a boy, was like an empty shell in the beginning. The game library of misc information only talks about this, but with how Strange Klug and Sig relate to each other so much, this boy is most likely Sig. Klug in 20th Anniversary mentions how Sig's arm and the book he carries (the demon) feels so similar to each other, too.

Then for things that weren't confirmed by sources, aka some Headcanons.
Sig acts like how he does (spaced out, not caring except for insects, monotone, not really expressive, passive) because he isn't complete and because he hasn't lived as long as Sig. He's the remains of a demon with humongous powers, after all, and majority of the demon (personality and memories) are in the magic book.

Incomplete and mentally younger than physical age. Think of him as a small child stuck in a body of a young teenager body. Sig is basically an empty shell of a body, which is the biggest reason behind why he's so passive and blank. He doesn't think too much for himself for anything else. He isn't mentally developed enough to put more complex critical thinking.

Because he's a soul that was originally part of one whole soul, it's rather unstable. This is why some people see a blue blob-like thing floating outside of Sig's body at times, in addition to how he's so spaced out. With part of his soul gone, who wouldn't be so spaced out?

Sig is supposedly extremely strong. The original demon that Sig came out of had the powers to easily defeat an entire army, which is probably at least a few hundred to around thousand members at once. The entire army bit was from the library database in fever 2. Even when the powers are equally split between Strange Klug and Sig, that's still a lot of power to easily take out a classroom of people. The only thing from being that godmoddy? It ties to his inability to gain higher thinking. Which also ties to easily being manipulated. Play the right cards, and you can get him to do things he would not do otherwise.

Why does he like bugs so much? The first thing he saw when he first became Sig was a ladybug (or a beetle). If I remember correctly, there was a little writing of the boy seeing the insect and immediately fell in love. He sees them something close to family, friends. This is why he would be glad to take any insects from anyone who doesn't like them, as well as standing up against those who would dare harm them.

He, in a way, has a strong sense of justice. It shows the easiest when it comes to insects, of protecting them. He's also the polar opposite of Strange Klug, where he gives off some sort of evil vibe. When Strange Klug shows up in front of Sig in Fever 2, Sig immediately gets defensive and fights back. For someone who's extremely passive, this shows a lot. He may be easily manipulated, but if he ever realizes the manipulator's intent, he will (try to) confront. Unless he does something to his passiveness, he is confrontation will end in fail.

But yes, there's got to be something behind the demon in the book, for why not only Accord, but Lemres avoids the topic altogether to divert Sig into an alternate solution for his problem of catching bugs in 20th's script.
